The water scant port city of Gwadar will get pure drinking water supply from not far off dams by halfway this year, as the expansion tasks on the prime assignments are burgeoning.
The assignment targets are to evolve water transference conduits from Swad Dam and Shadi Kaur Dam to Gwadar city to meet the subsequent water needs of the city.
An official said that the placing of the water conduits network from Swad Dam to Gwadar was already finalized. “It is a 67km long pipeline that will provide 5 million gallons of water per day.”
The restoration of water conduits inside Gwadar city was also anticipated to be concluded this year, he added.
