Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has aimed to take prompt measures to instigate a rummaging process at Gwadar Port to make it manageable for the transportation of big ships.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today [Friday], manifesting concern over the procrastination in the ML-1 project, the Minister said the cost of track for the future viability of the project be evaluated and work be sped up.
He highlighted that laying down the Fiber optic cable project should be integrated within ML-1 to economize the project.
He said the Karachi Circular railway is another important mass transit project which should be executed on the model of the Orange Line in Lahore.
Ahsan Iqbal said the Mansehra- Muzaffarabad and Babusar Tunnel and Zhob–D.I. Khan Projects should be taken up on priority for inclusion in the upcoming Joint Cooperation Committee meeting.
He directed NHA to do a feasibility study of the Kabul-Peshawar Motorway.
