The Gwadar 300 megawatts coal-fired power plant is meant to be consummated by October 2023 to terminate energy paucity in the country, Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday.

An official source while apprising exclusive updates of the project, said that the power plant of a self-sustaining power manufacturer is one of the prime energy projects in the process of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The project pursued ameliorating the authenticity of the local power supply that would gradually succor the drawbacks in the contemporary economic development and urban construction in the Gwadar region, which is being constricted by the meagerness of power.

The power plant is of great consequence in intensifying the energy collaboration between China and Pakistan, uplifting the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and improving the overall power structure of Balochistan.
